Miro Productions Ltd is a Rotorua-based production company with a passion for film and television drama.
Founded in 2005 by award-winning filmmaker and Director of Photography Richard Curtis, the company welcomed Lea Mclean in 2022. Lea brings over 20 years of post-production experience and producing skills across film, television and digital projects.

Richard is a seasoned filmmaker with 35+ years experience. He understands what it takes to make compelling content for both film and television productions. Richard is the co-creator, cinematographer and director of the highly successful TV series Hunting Aotearoa now in its 20th season. He has an award-winning short film AHI KĀ (2014), he co-directed on the feature film WE ARE STILL HERE (2022) which won Best Feature at ImagineNATIVE Film Festival and his latest short film RAPIDO is currently showcasing at the 25th Imaginative film festival. He directed on TV series KAIRĀKAU 2 & 3 and is a co-writer and lead director on TV series END OF THE VALLEY (2025) he also co-founded the Steambox Film Collective.

With a strong background in Māori drama, Lea stepped into her first lead role as a Television Drama Producer in 2023. Known for her insightful work within the edit suite, she has collaborated with a number of Directors and Producers to enhance Māori character portrayals. Her industry expertise is highlighted by her recent roles as Producer/Co-writer of short film “RAPIDO”, Producer/Creator/Co-writer of Māori television series “END OF THE VALLEY”, Co-Producer of the acclaimed film "KA WHAWHAI TONU - Struggle Without End" and digital series Producer for "HARAKORE" a young Māori women centric series. Lea's interests include redefining Māori storytelling in film and television.
